Looking to hire freelance writer to cover the story of a charter school that Capital Impact financed in Los Angeles. Story will focus on social impact school is having on students, families and teachers while weaving in Capital Impact's role in the financing of the school. Looking for a lively, emotional, human focused narrative (see www.capitalimpact.org/stories for examples)
Local based writer with flexible schedule who can adapt to schedules of students and teachers is best. As school is in largely Hispanic/Latino area, preference given to those who can speak Spanish.
Final product will run approximately 750 words and we typically pay $1 per word or negotiated set price in the $750 range. While this is a one time job, it's likely we'll have projects in the future.
