The Role
InfraNews is seeking a freelancer Subeditor to cover the processing of news stories and analyses covering the European and international infrastructure financing market. This involves reports on PPP tenders on secondary markets, financings and refinancing as well as all government and regulatory policy relating to PPPs, PFIs and PF2s. The freelancer Subeditor will also be editing mergers and acquisitions coverage.
Working closely with the Managing Editor, the freelancer Subeditor will also need to help make sure news sites are correctly formatted with appropriate pictures and images. You will also be required to push back for more work any copy with legal issues or refer to the managing editor.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be an experienced financial journalist with very recent subediting experience on a financial newswire or daily publication. You will be used to turning around news pieces and articles of various lengths quickly and accurately throughout the day with final copy filed around 5pm for a 6pm close.
