Gearhead Diva/Remote/Telecommute
WHO WE ARE
Gearhead Diva an automotive lifestyle brand for today's social media generation. We are currently developing the best in internet edu-tainment programming with a diverse lineup of shows for creators, makers, builders and car modding enthusiasts who love sharing online. From installing bolt-on products, wiring electronics, rebuilding an engine to body work and paint, Gearhead Diva empowers young and "young-at-heart" everyday enthusiasts to achieve their goals using common tools in a home garage environment.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
To complement our video programming we've launched a blog that curates some of the most clever diy projects outside the automotive realm that includes related fields like home improvement, workshop, garage, upcycling, life hacks, electronics and tech.
We're looking for a freelance writer that has a passion for these diy topics to go through the posts we curate from other sites and summarize the steps for the projects (usually 3-4 paragraphs) using his/her own voice, personality …and humor, because DIY often turns into DI-Why. These posts are similar in scope to what you would see on Lifehacker.com.
This is a remote or work-from-home opportunity for the right person that can meet deadlines and be responsive to email, text or calls.
COMPENSATION
$10/post, 2-3 times/week*
*The compensation reflects the fact that:
The topics would already be curated for you so no research will be required.
No image manipulation will be required. Once you complete your piece an editor will format and optimize for speed a featured image for your post along with any other necessary supporting images.
Writer will receive credit for his/her contributions and a page listing all his/her posts on the website.
**In the future, we would like to transition the writer to be responsible for the curation process as well, and at that time the compensation would change to reflect the new responsibilities.
HOW TO APPLY
Please apply through the site's application feature and include links to your work or writing samples.
Thanks!
