Freelance Sports Web Editor / Freelance Sports Digital Editor required for a leading media owner based in London. As Freelance Sports Web Editor /  Freelance Sports Digital Editor you will be responsible for updating and maintaining the Sports Website and Mobile App with timely and engaging content.

Key Responsibilities for the Freelance Sports Editor will include:

• Creating and editing headlines, teasers and images to effectively promote multimedia content on the homepage and other key pages of the clients website.
• Publish, update and remove content according the digital content schedule
• Keep abreast of real-time traffic data and make editorial decision based on this
• Create and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Outstanding online editorial and subbing skills (this is not a writing/journalism role)
• Significant experience working with online content management system on at least one major UK website
• Strong Photoshop skills
• Demonstrable experience in managing content around live events
• A thorough knowledge of football plus a working knowledge of other mainstream sports.
• Willingness to work to a flexible rota – including weekend, early morning and later evenings shifts.
