LoveToKnow, a major lifestyle website, is seeking successful, funny, clever writers to create entertaining feature content. We want you to pitch and write topics that are timely, topical and fun! If you are keyed into everything pop culture and enjoy sharing all the latest trends, this might be the perfect gig for you.
What kind of topics? We are looking for great lists, slideshows and quizzes on fun lifestyle subjects including:
* Pets
* Parenting
* Dating
* Food
* Travel
* Technology
Paid contributors are expected to produce quality articles that meet the needs of the reader. Writers are paid per each approved article. Article assignments vary greatly and pay is based on the complexity of the work involved; average rate is $75 per piece. Pay is for completed and approved work, twice a month, via PayPal.
Required Skill and Experience
* Proven success writing viral content for websites like Buzzfeed – please list previous experience in your resume
* Excellent writing and editing skills, with logical flow, good organization and impeccable grammar
* Minimum of one year professional writing and PR experience
* Familiarity with a variety of website interfaces
* Great written communication skills
* Organized and efficient with keen attention to detail
* Home computer with broadband internet connection
* Able to work independently with minimal direction
Position is freelance, temporary, with flexible hours, and will be done from your home office. You must have your own computer with appropriate software and internet connection.
